It's steel on my '58, afterall. And I had to drill it out from the backside (inside the trailer), but it wasn't too bad.
Akornuta,
Do you have seven or thirteen panels on the end?

Thanks, I am trying to tie down the appearance of the steel plate, it appears to have arrived with the seven panel end caps. This is RJ Dial's assumption as he does not have it on his 1957 Flying Cloud and I do not have it on my 1954 Double Door Liner.

Gotcha. I guess this plate was probably one of the first places that the body was attached to when putting the shell down on the floor.
One of the things I've been wondering about while taking the body off was if they built the body in place on the frame, or built it separately and then lowered it down onto the floor...

The plate was on my 1954 Cruiser. It is identical to Markdoane's.

Not making it to the Cherry Blossum this year..... But... the panels for the beds are in, ordered the foam, ordered the stove, and ordered the fridge. Ready to cut the Corian for the Bathroom and trim the tub which is otherwise done. I think we will be functional for Salisbury Beach at the end of April.
