first time camping in the '61

It was Awesome! We went to Laura Walker State park GA and the weather was beautiful. I love the attention that you can draw with a vintage Airstream. We gave several tours and everyone was shocked that it was a 1961. I'm ready to start with the custom touches and do some polishing.

Congrats! I know what you mean when it comes to the attention, too! My Bambi was a star last summer, and he's getting polished now, so I'm really looking forward to the summer! The kids and I enjoy the state parks,too. Maybe one day we'll venture out to GA.

We took our 1957 Overlander out on her first camping trip ( first trip with us) a couple of weeks ago. Yes they do get a lot of attention, and they are a joy to stay in. We were in one of the biggest rain down pours that I have seen in a long time, and no leaks! Over the last couple of months we have her in working order, now comes the polishing.
