I still have the battery box under the front window. I found a deep cycle battery that would fit perfectly in this box. It is an expensive battery but I got tired of buying tractor battery, Many of them.
The battery is Deka Unigy
Model # 12AVR100ET
Warranty: 8 years.
This is a battery that is used in computer racks for UPS backups. Because it is so expensive I have made sure that I have bought the "charge wizard" from Progressive Dynamics, Inc. This unit plugs into the converter and performs the battery tender features.
The existing battery box has vertical supports underneath it. I placed a thin gasket material under and around the battery, about 4 to 6 inches wide. This strip allows me to grab the strip of material (at one end) and also have a strap on the 2 bolts (at the other end) to be able to lift it out of the box.
The space between my propane tanks and the front of the trailer do not allow a plastic battery box to be mounted on the tongue. It sure would have been easier to buy a normal deep cycle fishing battery.

thank you
Thanks for the help on the Overlander wiring.
Only problem is, it looks like our wiring is much different. Amazing what a year's difference can make!
I bought a wire "sounder" so I can tap out each of the trailer wires. I am now left with figuring out which wire goes from my battery box to the trailer brakes for power.
if you have any insight on that, I'd appreciate it.
thanks
