Just an observation from me. It's free, so it may be worth what I charged for my observation. You have both the ball on the tongue and the hitch for the sway control. You're gonna need it! It appears that the trailer is high in the front, and the jeep is low. A drop hitch and tighter leveling bars may be in your future. But for now, sway control! It really looks good so far!

It seems pretty level to me, and it pulls wonderfully smooth.

My kit has a sway bar, but I've to have a reason to use it.

I tow my 29' with my 2006 four runner. I don't know why everyone thinks you need a 2500 diesel to tow a trailer. Great looking rebuild.

Well after many sleepless nights. (gawd I hate realtors) The Dog House is ready for it's first major journey.

My wife took a job in Portland, OR in May and we've been tryin' sell our house since. No luck, but my Job in Wisconsin has run out, and I have opportunities in Portland now, so the movers pick everything up Tuesday, and we'll leave (my father in law and I) Tuesday or Wednesday for the great northwest.

My wife is really upset she can't be going on the journey.

We are taking the North Dakota - Montana route. Neither of use have been that way, so here we go.

I took the kids for a little warm up while we had an open house today.

I think Jack knows Mama is at the other end. he sat here for 20 minutes this afternoon.

The trailer is just a rolling tent now, so we made a simple bed frame and put in a king size bed for the trip. Jack approved of course (one eyed Jack that is).

A bit of jungle.

more jungle, it's just shorter, hiding behind the bed.

Well it's Sunday evening and I've a shitton to do.

I'll update after we leave.

Todd

Awesome. Great LJ...I build TJ diesel conversions.

We were in a similar situ 2 years ago, instead heading east from San Diego to Eye-lanta. Realtors...

It was so great to meet everyone at breakfast, next time would love to meet those beagles! You've done such a thorough job, it was a nostaligic trip for me to watch your progress and I can't wait to see the doghouse in person.

It's been a year and a half since my last update. With moving, living in a new city and new house there hasn't been any time for The Dog House. Until now.
Betty signed us up for a few local AS campouts this year.

Time to start.

I spent 8 hrs this weekend with a wire wheel on the polisher brushing the interior.

I started working on the bedframe last year and got about a third of it done, and between last weekend and this weekend I just finished the bedframe and have placed the end panels for the cabinetry.

We've been slowly chugging away this spring. A box of goodies came from VTS yesterday. Electrical starts this weekend.

Three hours of Betty's handiwork.
Probably going to take us 40 to 60 hours to do the initial cut on this to get through the corrosion.

We spent at least 36 hours of Fourth of July weekend working on the doghouse. We are covered in sawdust from all the cabinetry.
We're getting much closer to the end of the inside.
We have a month and a half before our first rally.
