there are 3 vents in my 1964 airstream. the large on is about 14X26 in size. someone has put a plywood board over it. I called a dealer in Calf. he suggested that I remove, clean and replace it with piece of plexiglassis. will this really work?

Another question for the group: My recently purchased 1976 29 foot rear bath has 3 cast aluminum vent cover housings. I removed and carefully replaced them all with new vent boots and screens as one was beginning to seep water when it rained. I noticed that each Aluminum housing had a small tapped hole near the top opening and wondered if I might be missing a cap of some sort as this might be an attaching point.

Anyone with a clue about these holes might be kind enough to comment.

This forum is a great resource...thanks
