Howdy!
It's here. We have got our own trailer. For about 6 months we have been looking for something. We actually started looking at pop-up tent trailers, but every one we checked out had a musty smell. Then onto Craigs list. We were drooling at the mouth when we saw the scammer with his $5800 brand new Bambi for sale. I remember looking at Eric and saying, "come on honey, we can afford that!"
Then onto other sites, the oogle site always had some killer AS at some cheap price, we would email the same day and it would be sold. However here at the AS classifieds all the deals seemed based in reality. I found the forums a hugely valuable tool when the time came to make a decision.
We had our eye on a particular AS in the classifieds and after the price dropped for the second time we knew we had to act.
Then there was the second act and the third and now a lovely creature sits in our driveway! I feel like it's a girl and a very modern one. She doesn't have a name yet, but I am confident that will come in time.
She really looks cool! When I look out one of the living room windows its as if a huge whale is out there. She needs work but not as much as others. The lighting is amazing, there are a bunch of thoses wee lights and at night it is quite bright.
Oh yes and here is the first of many questions.
1. What do I clean her outside with and inside? When I wash the outside, is it like a car? Dry it with some towels while its still wet?
Timing is everything and I think we got her just in time. There is a lot of rust on her and both the bathroom and kitchen facets are showing signs of moisture pitting. When I am outside working on her I have a space heater going inside to try and dry her out. She has just a hint of a musty smell.
Well thats it for now!
And here are some pictures!
