Going into it's third year, many of you know all about the Birthday Bash already. For those new to the event, I will do my best to elaborate...

The Birthday Bash is an Airstream rally held to celebrate the birthday of the companies founder, Wallace Byam. This is a relaxed family oriented rally. We encourage people of all walks and ages to attend. Kids under 17 are always free, so the cost is easy on the families and grandparents can bring all their grandkids. At the second Bash we had one kid to every two adults. Coopers Lake Campground is a very safe and natural place for the kids to be kids like when we were young. It is a campground that is kind of lost in a better time. Family owned and operated for four generations. There is a 10 acre lake for fishing, boating, and staring at as you relax outside of your trailer. There are lots of big trees and a nice stream to take a swim in if you desire. The campground is 200 acres total and offers miles of smooth biking roads. It also offers you just about any camping situation you might want. When you arrive, our parkers will take you around and show you all the possibilities. Deep woods, light woods, wide open. Full shade, part sun, total sun. Beach front, on the edge of the woods, stream side. Far from the main activities, near by them, or up front and personal. We can accommodate just about any camping site you desire. The one thing these sites have in common is they all will be boon dock or dry camping sites. Now please do not freak out, your rig was designed for exactly this purpose. There will be an area for the boon dock enthusiasts where no generators will be fired up. However, most of you can use a generator when needed during daylight hours. We will have an area also for those needing all night power for medical reasons. Those needing this will be asked to share power so we have as little night noise as possible. Water will be readily available throughout our area except if you choose to camp way up in the woods. The Coopers will be pumping you out during the weekend and they also have a dump station up by the office. If you just cannot live without full hook ups, there are some available up the hill from our area. Just let us know and we will arrange it.

There are a few changes for this year to make note of. Instead of one big act, we are going to have two or three bands play. If any of you coming are musicians, let us know, maybe we can book you. The day you arrive, you will arrive to a party. We are going to kick it off in style with a band and a cook out. You don't even have to think about dinner that night, just bring your favorite beverage and a big smile. Due to the size of the campground we are going to be running the Bash Cab this year. From 6 am till 10 pm we will do our best to give those needing, a ride. There will be a sign up sheet when you arrive if you want to take a shift running the Bash Cab. You will have to own a drivers license to sign up. There will also be sign up sheets for all the other volunteers jobs we need help with. Please keep in mind that this event is based on everyone paying an equal share and pitching in a little at some point. Even the Hosts are paying their share. Everyone has their comfort level and we ask you just do what you are comfortable with. This rally is about relaxation, fellowship, and using our Airstreams as Wallace Byam intended. If you are looking for seminars, workshops, and hands on demonstrations than you better plan on giving them. We are willing to add anything to the schedule you may desire. Just let us know.
I am sure many questions will come up as the months go by. You will find a discussion thread here.

In conjunction with the Birthday Bash, the National Serro Scotty Organization will be having their national rally at the same time. There are around 65 Scottys expected to attend. We hope that both groups will compliment each other. There will be some joint events, but none are currently on the schedule. Besides that group, we will have the entire 200 acres to ourselves.
