You are invited to join you fellow Airstreamers in a quest to recreate the spirit of Wally Byams famous Capetown to Cario caravan. In September, we will converge on The Wilds.

The Wilds is a very special 10,000 acre wildlife conservation set in Ohio. It located close to Cumberland, which is 90 minutes due East of Columbus. Please visit www.thewilds.org to learn more about this special place.

In the caravanning spirit, we will be camping without direct access to water or power. The Wilds does not have a campground or ”RV” section. We will be enjoying primitive camping! This is how Wally would have liked it!

Under consideration are a few special activities. At a minimum, we will enjoy a special open-air sunset tour of the range. This is not your typical tour. Each area is 500 acres!

Still in the planning stages are some very special events to make this rally “not to be missed!” I can’t say what they are yet, but rest assured it will challenge even the toughest of our “boondockers”. The rest of us will enjoy watching!

At this time, we are locked in on the dates and fees.

This is a great idea! Septemer is better for us. Even early October would work. Since it's boondocking... cooler is better.

We plan on coming with our four boys who will be nearly 8 months, 3, 9, and 12 years old by then. We will pass on the awesome sunset safari--it's just too pricey for this many people but it sounds like great fun.

Looks great and not too far away. I think the kids would love it. The dates are great for us. It will be us, the boys (ages 1 and 3) and my mother will probably be joining us as well.
