The Four Corners unit will be hosting an open Thanksgiving rally in the desert outside of Quartzsite, Arizona from 26 November '08 to 30 November '08...This will be the first annual turkey day rally, and the second annual Quartzsite mini-or-not rally...the turkey day rally may occur in a different location, next year.

These dates are NOT carved into anything, but are guidelines required by the forum form. Come early, stay late, come late, leave early...location will be determined by the number of rigs, but it will be a boondock experience, and it will involve desert, good people, imagination, and whatever else anyone wants to bring. The cost of this event will be zero, except for personal expense. Appreciated items will be FIREWOOD, FOOD for happy hour(which is when you want it to start, or 4 pm, which ever comes first), HAPPY HOUR BEVERAGES of your choice(I'm hoping the MargiBall will appear), a potluck or two or three(your option, but dining establishments are limited in Quartzsite), and the usual chairs/tables/generators of your needs. Tracy and I promise to supply a site, sand, greasewood bushes, an occasional mesquite tree, horseshoes, and an array of flamingos(you are encouraged to bring your own). Pets are welcome, but since it IS desert, a leash is recommended...there are some coyotes, and reptiles and insects. Bring your favorite outdoor games, and maybe a couple of Goodwill/Salvation Army sand wedges/7-9 irons for possible desert golf...PGA rules will be suspended. FUN is the goal, FRIENDSHIP is the medium...as soon as I am told how to create a sign-up list, this will occur, but since the fee is zero, the list would just be a source of information...PM us for any questions...the actual site will be posted here when it is selected.
