What is the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta?
The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is a world-renowned attraction and destination for kids of all ages. For more than three decades, the first week in October brings the smell of roasting chiles and the beautiful, magical moving picture show of hot air balloons sailing silently through the crisp fall air.
Guests from all over the world come to Albuquerque to celebrate ballooning. Literally hundreds of balloons will be taking flight from the Balloon Fiesta Park this year.
From its modest beginnings in 1972 with 13 balloons launching from a shopping mall parking lot, the Balloon Fiesta has grown to multiple events launching year-round at the custom-designed, 365-acre Balloon Fiesta Park. Our signature event remains Balloon Fiesta—which, with 700 balloons, is the largest ballooning event on earth, the most photographed event on earth, and the largest annual international event held in the United States.
Imagine 54 football fields, all put together. That’s the size of Balloon Fiesta Park’s 78-acre launch field! And at this Park’s “playing field,” there are no losing teams and no viewing stands. Guests walk the field and are part of the action.
Hundreds of thousands of smiling, upturned faces, awestruck by the spectacular beauty of hot air balloons filling the big blue New Mexico sky. What you can’t hear until you walk our field at nightfall is the thrilling roar of hundreds of burners simultaneously igniting, turning the Park into a huge lighted Christmas tree of colorful balloons. What you can’t feel until you join us is the massive joy everywhere around you.
VIP RV PARKING – Immediately adjacent to Fiesta Park. Dry camp - No hook-ups. $65.00 per night. Price includes field entry for 4 adults. Fresh water truck & pump out service available.

Payment / Deposit Details:
Total event cost, is $260.00 per site, which includes entrance for four persons per site and includes RV parking within the group. no hookups, however mobil fresh water and honey wagon service available for an extra fee.
Option #1 - Send a check for the full amount of $260, as noted below.

option #2 - You are required to pay 1/2 now ($130.00 each site) payable no later than Feb. 16th, and the Balance is required by August 14, 2007 (balance due is $130.00).
The event has a refund policy of $10 per day, if you are unable to attend, and complain loudly, by say July 14th, 2007. OR there will huge demand close to the event for other airstreamers who are out of the current loop and or on the waiting list, so you could sell your reservation to them, at your cost naturally (subject to FCU approval, secret handshake and which way the wind is blowing).

with any luck, we will be granted more sites. at present we have 20 reserved, and 17 commited 'streams. if we were say, to have 30 sites reserved, and filled, we would be calling this the FCU NM BALLOON FIESTA AIRSTREAM CONVENTION. right now however, we are known as the FCU NM BALLOON FIESTA AIRSTREAM RALLY, or whatever I, as the greeter am gretting as, decide to call the event; unless ken j. tells me not to, so then i'd change the name... or whatever.

CAN I BRING MY FUNNY AIRSTREAM? you mean the one's approved by the WBCCI? yes.
CAN I BRING MY ATTACK DOGS TO THE "HAPPY HOUR", OR "POT LUCK"? yes, however kevbo will skin them alive for gumbo, so please bring'em on a leash, makes it easier to hunt'em down.
WE ARE CAT PEOPLE, MAY WE BRING OUR CAT(s)? yes, we understand your "special" needs and know how sensitive you can be. we love all animals, except when were chewing on them for dinner.
I'M VEGAN. I HAVEN'T EATEN MEAT IN SEVEN YEARS. i haven't had a banana in six months. get over yourself, bring your own soy; and share, we all do it.
MUST WE OVER DECORATE OUR 'STREAMS? yes (rolling eyes).
I'VE HEARD THE POT LUCK IS BLACK TIE? you heard wrong. only kevbo over dresses, unless you want to.
MY DAUGHTERS / SONS ARE HEAVILY INKED AND HAVE PIERCINGS, CAN I (AS A FAMILY UNIT) BRING THEM? yes, we are non judgemental and all inclusive. furhtermore we don't care whom your sleeping with. well kevbo does, but that's just him.
MAY I FACE EAST, WITH MY FOIL HAT ON, AND CHANT. yes. but only between the hours of 10am and 10pm; and then it's iffy. well, wear tiedye, then it's ok.
WHY IS THE FCU RALLY GREETER SO HIGHLY PAID AT THESE EVENTS? even i can't answer this one.
