4CU Thanksgiving Rally 2017

Rally Fee: $15/Adult (Kids Under 16 Free)
Camping Fee: $14/night paid directly to Park on arrival (NM Camping Passes apply)

Join with your 4CU friends and family for the 2017 4CU Thanksgiving Rally to be held at Caballo Lake State Park in the Group Area at Riverside Campground (below the dam). Caballo Lake State park is near Caballo, NM and about 15 miles south of Truth or Consequences on I-25. We know that Thanksgiving is a family holiday so we are designating the rally as a Buddy Rally which means you can invite friends and family with non-Airstream RVs to join us in the fun. And if you can’t make it for Thanksgiving Day, you are welcome to join us on Friday for the balance of the weekend.

Riverside Campground Group Area is a large open area with a main covered shelter in the center and a number of “satellite shelters” scattered about. Each shelter has a water spigot to share … and individual electric utility posts …all with 30 amp and some with 50 amp. There is electricity, lighting in the main shelter as well as a group fire pit, charcoal grills and plenty of picnic tables. There are restrooms & showers at the entrance to the group area. The Riverside Campground sits on the bank of the Rio Grand River below Caballo Dam should you want to cast your line, and there is access to Caballo Lake above the dam for boating, fishing, canoeing and kayaking. There is no dump station at the Riverside Campground, but we will have access to the dump station in Palamino Campground above the dam at no charge. Please bring firewood if you can. Dogs are welcome as always, but please leave them at your rig during food events. DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON LEASH (no exceptions) and YOU MUST CLEAN UP AFTER THEM (no exceptions). There is no Poop Fairy.

5:00 pm: A Hearty Appetizer Happy Hour … bring appetizers and snacks to share.
Dinner on your own.
Evening: Fire Circle

Thursday, 23 Nov 17 – THAKSGIVING DAY! Gobble Gobble
8:30 am: Coffee Time with Light Fare
3:00 pm: Thanksgiving Dinner (food details and organizing will follow)
6:00 pm: Dessert Buffet (details and organizing will follow)
Evening: Fire Circle

Friday, 24 Nov 17– BLACK FRIDAY!
8:30 am: Coffee Time with Light Fare
Explore Caballo Lake and surrounding areas … kayaking, canoeing, etc…
1:00 pm: Black Friday Flea Market — bring your retired camping gear, etc to set up yard-sale style.
5:00 pm: A Hearty Appetizer Happy Hour … bring appetizers to share. Dinner on your own.
Evening: Fire Circle

Saturday, 25 Nov 17
8:30 am: Coffee Time with Light Fare
9:00 – 10:00 am: Boiling Bag Omelets … We’ll provide the boiling pot and fixin’s for boiling bag omelets… Make your own to taste!
Visit & Enjoy Caballo Lake and surrounding areas … kayaking, canoeing, etc…
5:00 pm: Open Grill & Fajitas Night … We’ll fire up the grills for those who want to bring their own meat to grill. For those who don’t wish to grill, the hosts will provide Beef Fajitas. Please bring sides, salads or deserts to share.
Evening: Fire Circle
