Beside questions asked by helsinhotel, I was wondering how big of a chili batch to make? Any idea of the number of people attending?

Are there any rules for chili? ie beans vs no beans, ground beef vs whole beef? cooked on site or brought from home. First time we will be attending looking forward to meeting all.
