Dear Fellow Airstreamers and Friends,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to our 39th Region 5 Rally. Not a WBCCI member? Not a problem. All Airstream owners are welcome.
This year our rally will be held in Springfield, IL located in the heartland of America. Old Route 66 runs right through Springfield where you’ll find Shea’s Gas Station Museum, Cozy Dog Drive-In and Route 66 Twin Drive-In Theater.
Of course there are several Abraham Lincoln sites in the area. Lincoln’s New Salem State Historic Site, Lincoln’s Tomb, and the new Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum await your visit.
The State Capitol has just completed a $40 million renovation in all its Victorian splendor and the Governor’s Mansion is open for tours.
Abraham Lincoln was born in Kentucky, spent his boyhood in Indiana, and was a Congressman in Illinois before becoming President. You could say he was a member of Region 5.
We’ll be staying at the Illinois State Fairgrounds this year. The Fairground Campground can accommodate up to 300 units with water and electricity. A limited number of sites have sewer. Best of all, the campground is centrally located to the abundant activities.
Once again you’ll be able to register online using a credit card or PayPal. Of course checks are also accepted by contacting our treasurer, John Swearingen. Prices start at $155 and you can register and pay online through the following link to the WBCCI registration page.

Our theme is “Walk With Lincoln”, so let’s shake the cobwebs out of those Airstreams and register soon. This is an event you don’t want to miss.
