It is time once again to enjoy a summer weekend on the San Marcos river surrounded by our beloved silver trailers. My apologies for starting this thread so close to the annual event, but we have been moving in anticipation for our next PCS move. This year the event will be held the weekend after Memorial Day (May 30-June 1).

Like previous years, we will again be staying at Pecan Park Riverside Campground. The park offers great shade from the pecan tree canopy, swimming, fishing, floating, kayaking, and an air conditioned meeting room (with kitchen) to host our meals.

All RV sites are full hookups, with a few sites having additional premiums based on extra amenities.

The park is currently holding 20 spaces for our group. Once the 20 spaces fill, the rest are available on a first come first served basis. The park will remove spaces if the non rally sites sell out before the group makes it to 20.

This campground is a very popular destination, and does book up quite fast for the summer (especially the weekend that school lets out). Every year someone signs up last minute which usually requires them to camp in the area with no shade . It is highly recommended that if you have even the slightest interest in attending...please call and make a reservation. You can always cancel later and get a refund! Arriving early and staying later is always available as an option.

Like last year we have a several sponsors that will be providing their product for everyone including New Braunfels Brewing Company and Independence Coffee Company. Like previous years, we will have pot luck meals on Friday and Saturday evening. Saturday night entertainment by Stage Productions (RichHog).

SAMBOREE INFORMATION
Our Samboree starts on Thursday with opening ceremonies Thursday evening.
ACTIVITIES: Hospitality with Cookies, Coffee, Ice Tea and Lemonade. Pop Corn, Penny Bingo, Daily 50/50 Drawing, Flea Market, Games. Ice Cream Social & Cake Walk, Samgo, Dog Show, Craft Classes, Seminars and Vendors.
ENTERTAINMENT: Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
MEALS: Hot Dogs Thursday and Barbeque Sandwich’s Friday.
CHURCH SERVICES and Donuts on Sunday morning.
REGULAR FEE: $80.00 covers Thursday, Friday & Saturdays nights camping (20amp electric & water) and all meals. Price includes two (2) adults and children under 13.
Single fee is $70.00.
WORKING MANS SPECIAL: $65.00 covers Friday & Saturdays nights camping and all meals. Single fee is $55.00.
ADDITIONAL FEES: There is a $10.00 fee for Teens 13-17. Each extra adult is $15.00. These extra fees are to help cover part of the cost of meals.

EARLY BIRDS can arrive 05/27/2014 at a cost of $16.00 per night. PARKING: Parking will be hobo. Handicap parking with permit only.

Alumapalooza is the official annual event held at the AIRSTREAM factory in Jackson Center, Ohio! Produced with the support of AIRSTREAM, Airstream Life magazine, and other sponsors, it is held the first week of June. 2014 dates are May 27- June 1.
Each year Alumapalooza is different, but generally includes camping, seminars, entertainment, door prizes, gifts, factory tours, a group meal or two, and unlimited socializing. If you want to see what we did in prior years, check the 2013, 2012, 2011 or 2010 Program available on this website.
All brand of RVs are welcome to come to Alumapalooza. We figure, if you’re coming to the Airstream factory in the middle of Ohio, you are probably interested in getting an Airstream someday! Attending Alumapalooza is a great way to get to know Airstream and the Airstream owner community before you buy.
