Welcome back to Wickenburg!
2/28 through 3/2/13
Wickenburg Community Center
160 N. Valentine, Wickenburg
We will be returning to Wickenburg Community Center for our first rally since the new roundabout was developed that displaced all of the RV parking sites. Wickenburg is located just 60 miles northwest of Downtown Phoenix in the Northern reaches of the great Sonoran Desert and is noted for its clean air, good country living, western hospitality and all-around high quality of life. Wickenburg is one of Arizona's true western towns.
We will be located in town within walking distance to downtown Wickenburg. There are many things to do and see in Wickenburg including shops, museums, and a self-guided walking tour in which you can look for the town sculptures located around the town.
While we are there, the Del E. Webb Center for Performing Arts has a performance called Return of the Dukes, featuring an original Duke of Hazards, John Schneider. We recommend Saturday night's performance. Tickets are available on their website
For outdoor enthusiasts, there are plenty of hiking trails nearby so bring those comfortable boots/shoes. Bird watchers will want to visit the Hassayampa River Preserves. If you are looking for some new western duds, you can find them in Wickenburg.
Our rally will include two breakfasts, two evening meals, and Arizona Unit's famous ice cream social, which will be Friday evening. The first dinner will be a soup supper on Thursday evening. The new RV parking at the Community Center is limited, so get your space reserved early. We will have 30-amp service, plus water and use of the dump station. Parking per night is $25.55 per rig.
Please contact Jill Shuck (email@example.com) or Barbara Vaughn (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you plan to attend.
