Pancho Villa State Park - Columbus, NM

The Four Corners Unit Southern New Mexico Rally — Pancho Villa III — 19-23 October... We will convene at Pancho Villa State Park in Columbus, NM, near the Mexico border, for a three-night stay (four nights if you do an early arrival on Thursday, 19 Oct). On Saturday, Columbus, NM will be hosting a car show at the North end of the park near the office and museum. On Sunday, there will be an optional walk-over-the border lunch at The Pink Store, in Las Palomas, MX, and their famous Margaritas (while you shop)!

Pancho Villa State Park includes an exhibit hall and historic structures, capturing the history of the 1916 Pancho Villa Raid on Camp Furlong. The Village of Columbus also has a historical museum dedicated to the raid.

Registrations must be received by: 7 Oct 17 … with no refunds after 14 Oct 17.

The rally fee is $15 per rig with a cap of 20 rigs … and attendees will be responsible for their own camping fees – $14 per night with water and electric, payable on entry to the park. (The NM camping pass reduces the nightly fee to $4.) Pick up a payment envelope at the entrance kiosk, find the space you want and then pay at the entrance kiosk or the kiosk near the playground & showers. There are no sewer hookups available, but there is a dump station in the park. You do not need to make a reservation for a space. (In fact, the NM State Park reservation system is shut down as of 15 September.) We have reserved the Camp Furlong Recreation Hall at Pancho Villa State Park for Happy Hours, Pot lucks and the Italian Dinner. There is a kitchen and fridge for our use. We’ll have campfires each evening, weather permitting … so please bring some fire wood to contribute!

Car Show at the parking lot at the park office and museum area. There is no charge for the show for those camping in the Park. There will be drawings and a couple of food trucks on site as well. Check out the Museum while you are there … it’s pretty interesting.

Join Us and Head to Las Palomas for Shopping & Lunch at the Pink Store (Dutch treat … the wait-staff are fine with separate checks). Drive/carpool south about 4 or 5 miles to the border. There is a free parking lot to the right on the US side of the border. The Pink Store is about 1.5 blocks across the border. The Pink Store has a very civilized tradition of offering shoppers a free margarita to sip as you shop. Of course, it helps lubricate your wallet … but they do have great merchandise and reasonable prices … and it’s a very fun time.

The Northern Illinois Unit of the WBCCI is having its Thanksgiving and Installation rally on October 20th through the 23rd 2017.

All Airstream owners are welcome to join us.

This rally is being held at the Lee County 4-H Center and Fairgrounds located at
1196 Franklin Rd., Amboy, Il 61310.

We utilize the fairgrounds facilities t o have a Thanksgiving diner on Saturday evening at which time we also install our newly elected unit officers. During Saturday daytime we have tech time dealing with Airstream technical issues that our attendees need to have addressed.

This is our season closing rally.
