The kids will enjoy free run of the park and their own activities.

$33/day full-service
$22/day unserviced

Rally fee: (The rally fee includes hall rental, breakfasts, catered meal and other
miscellaneous costs.)
$65 (one adult)

$10/child (6-12 years)

Activities fees: These are still being finalized.

Nearest City or Town: Williams
State: Arizona
Campground Name: Grand Canyon Railway RV Park

AZ Unit WBCCI Rally at Williams, AZ, May 16 thru 19.

Join us for a late spring rally and train ride to the fabulous Grand Canyon before the heat sets in. Because there are so many choices, you need to make your own reservations for both the RV Park or Hotel and the train ride at either www.thetrain.com or 1-800-THE TRAIN (1-800-843-8724).
We will camp at the Grand Canyon Railway RV Park, 601 W. Franklin Ave., Williams, AZ 86046: check-in time after 1PM, check-out at 11AM. Grand Canyon Railway RV Park
has three types of RV spaces. Select from pull-throughs, buddy spaces or back-ins. All spaces are 50-amp and large enough for big rigs. Each space comes with cable TV, wireless Internet, access to the indoor swimming pool and hot tub at the adjacent Grand Canyon Railway Hotel, and shower facilities. Note requirements: Pads under all jacks or stabilizers, Sewer hose needs to be supported on a ramp, and an Air-tight sewer connector.
Thursday Happy Hour starts at 4PM, followed by the evening meal of Rally Stew with bread, salad and dessert.
Friday, May 17, will be a free day to explore Williams and the surrounding area. Williams is nestled at the base of Bill Williams Mountain in one of the largest Ponderosa Pine Forests in the world. The best- preserved stretch of Route 66, an outdoor drive-thru wildlife park, a true western setting with cowboys swaggering through town, and a friendly atmosphere greet you the moment you arrive in town. Friday Happy Hour begins at 4PM and a Pot Luck dinner will follow.
Saturday, May 18, will be the train ride from Williams (leaves 9:30AM) to the Grand Canyon, 65 miles one- way-- about 2 hours 15 minutes, with your choice of activities at the canyon. The Williams Station is an easy walk from the RV Park. The train arrives back in Williams at 5:45PM. Meals on your own.
Sunday will be a Continental Breakfast with check out at 11AM.
Make your own reservations directly with the Grand Canyon Railroad for the rally, which offers several choices for your stay. Dorothy and I picked the Rails to the Rim AAA Package (https://www.thetrain.com/AAA-Exclusives- 6040.html) for our rail and camping trip. This package includes Roundtrip Coach Class train travel from Williams to the Grand Canyon, with guided-narrated motor coach rim tour to scenic overlooks with lunch; three nights at theGCRailwayRVParkinWilliamsanda$20Railwaygiftshop certificateperadult. TheGCRailroadoffersother packages and a total of 5 classes of seating from Coach to Luxury Parlor Car for you pleasure. If you choose the above AAA package, make sure you specify that you want the train ride on Saturday, May 18; otherwise they will give you the day after you arrive. Seniors, age 62 and up, receive discounts on train passage; AARP and AAA discounts at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel, unless you book a package. Be sure to bring your Golden Age Pass (now called the Interagency Senior Pass) or there is an $8 fee to enter the Park. If you have any questions, please give Dorothy or me a call at 520-568-7565. Also, please send us an email or give us a call when you have your reservations.
