The lifting frame for shell removal

The frame to lift the shell is coming together. We decided to bolt it directly to the ribs with self tapping sheet metal screws. Total of seven 2x6's across the width with 2x6's run legthwise to spread the jacking pressure across all the cross members evenly and prevent buckling of the walls. Afer these pics were taken, we added two 16 ft 1x6's in an "x" pattern across the top to prevent torsion. Finally, the end caps wre supported with 2x's attached to the main frame to keep their weight...
