Banana River

One of our favorite things is walking around wherever we are. In the morning between coffee and breakfast, and after dinner. It's usually a campground somewhere, and it's usually during the week... quiet and peaceful.
This is one of the best places we've seen in a long time. Here's the banana river:

Macon to Merritt Island

The final push. Weather good. Ignored AAA and GPS suggestion to go through Orlando. You can keep your Florida's Turnpike, thank you. I-10 to Jacksonville then I-95 south adds maybe 20 miles and no tolls. Coming across I-10 we were passed by an Airstream who waved hello very enthusiastically. I looked up their WBCCI number and it's Wayne and Belinda from Texas. Hello!
We arrive at KARS park after 6 so there's a guy at the gate. He looks like a retired astronaut. I ask if we need to stop by...
