Camp with a view

Posted 12-28-2008 at 10:27 PM by Rivette

There are some things in this world I just don't understand. Why bottled water from a city tap sells for big bucks just becuase it's labeled 'mountain', why tiny trailers often cost more than large ones and why people choose to camp in a fancy parking lot for 40 dollars a night when you can camp for free with a view.

All things being equal, I'd prefer free water from the tap and a great view. Leave the asphalt campgrounds for others; I want to camp with a view.

Nice pics. I am in total agreement with you about those paved jungle campgrounds!

This may be a stupid question, but how do you post pictures in a comment? When I click on the "Insert Image" button, it wants a URL, and photos stored on my computer don't have one. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

I agree completely. If you can't have a view of mountains, rivers, oceans, trees, or wild life, the next best thing would be a view of another airstream!

I have to agree with you as well. Though I am quite aware that human beings tend to be gregarious I always thought part of the allure of "camping" was to get away from it all.

For me that includes a beautiful view, a minimum of sounds not produced naturally, and as few fellow human beings around as possible.
