Another foggy, cool morning -- hi's in the 60's again!!!
Rolling by 9:30AM. We stopped in Arcata and walked through the Saturday Farmer's Market. Arcata is quite the interesting university town -- lots of organic foods, and interesting people. We carried on South on US101 to The Avenue of the Giants scenic drive through the Redwoods National Forest. Huge trees, gigantic and very close to the two-lane road. Slick Rock Campground in Moab…a pretty cool place. For an extra $5 a camper can stay past the 11:00 checkout, leaving time for late risers like us to go explore Arches National Park without draggin’ along the ‘Stream.

Arches, wow, whadda place. The entrance is kinda steep but we avoided looking ‘down’ for the short, steep incline. We only could spare a few hours so we hit the biggies. Since we tow with a Dodge “Ram”, here’s a snapshot of the Rams head…

The plastic head board is to heavy for one person so i got some help and while I am at it I will have them help me with the rest of bathroom. I am going to keep the same setup .I was going to put in a stand up shower but I would rather keep the bathroom the same . I am going to replace the light fixtures in head board with two floresant 12 volt lights the other lights lens are stained.

We're gearing up for the holiday weekend, camping at Lake Umbagog State Park in NH. Time to deal with the screens, this has not been fun. Using a paint can opener to push the edges into the channel as the roller doesn't fit between the frame and the channel. Dan is running the new gas lines while we wait ....forever for the new water tank. New Airhead Marine toilet arrived yesterday and the fridge last week. We pulled out of the Vernal KOA at the bright and early hour of 9:30, headed for Dinosaur Monument – 20 miles to the east. I guessed I missed the press release in 2006 where they closed the visitor center due to structural issues. We both were very disappointed with the “Temporary” facilities (where else in the world does “Temp” equal 4 years?)

Backtracking, we decided to stop at the Utah Visitor center and verify that our selected route of 191 was the lesser of evils…in retrospect,...
