Still in Michigan.
Planned on leaving on Nov. 1
Plans postponed for family gathering on the 7th.
Dropped the Bambi off the jack stands while re-packing the wheel bearings! Into the dealer for repairs.
On hold until completed, hopefully around Nov. 15th.
Intended trip: Start Mammoth cave, then to Nashville and onto the Natchez Trace Parkway. Down to Natchez, MS, perhaps visit New Orleans for Thanksgiving. Across US 10 and down the Texas gulf coast. Galveston, Corpus Christi, Brownsville, up to Big Bend around Christmas. New Mexico, White Sands... mostly camping in National Forests. Arizona... close to the border... Organ Pipe Nat'l Monument, Quartzite... very loose itinerary. San Diego, Salton Sea, Joshua Tree, Death Valley. Return through Grand Canyon, Canyonlands, Zion, Arches, etc. Route 66? Trying to stay far south until the spring and warmer temps for Utah, etc.
Any suggestions appreciated!
More to come.
