Day 148, HOME AGAIN!

We made the short drive up from Sangchris Lake, IL and arrived home in the afternoon.
The house was as we left it... projects everywhere you look!...
Got the Airstream parked and settled... began the unpacking of the '1001 things'.
Turned up the thermostat and ..... no heat!...
Batteries dead in the digital thermostat... quick fix... got heat!
Turned on all plumbing, well pump, pressure tank, etc.... no leaks!...
Also no water in master shower! (We were really looking forward to that!).
mmmmm... big bed.... big shower.... the comforts of home.
Had to shower in the basement bathroom during the five days it took to 'figure out' and fix the master shower valves.
They had lightly rusted shut, even after we had carefully drained all water from the lines.
It appears there is a back-flow preventer valve in the combined off-on/temp. control value.
nice.
It took a kind and handy neighbor with a compressor and a hammer to get the values open.
Now it's on to the 'projects'.... dock, boat, yard, repairs, patio brick, fix sprinklers, stain deck,
trim trees, burn brush, build stone walls, plant flowers, replace deer-killed evergreens... etc. etc. etc.
