Drove 140 miles down the Trace. Slow as 'ya go, all day in the rain, drizzle to downpour. Took a lot of pictures. Additions to my 'Images from the Road' series… been doing it for 40 years. Donna doesn't understand it. I see it as 'glimpses and impressions'. Nothing too firm or solid, often not very clear or sharp… not your fine-grained, high-resolution, sharp-focus kind of vision. Still, I seek to impart a vision of the American landscape as seen from the road… moving, ever-changing, glimpsed rather than 'seen'… felt rather than experienced in detail. Arrived at Rocky Springs in the wet and damp. Walked around the campground… two other campers in 22 sites. Not crowded
Left in the morning for new and fresh places, warmer and sunnier climes.
