Left on Sunday morning. Drove into Oxford, east to Tupelo, down the Trace 67 miles to Jeff Busby Park. Not much traffic, Sunday… pretty uneventful. Went through an area to blown-down trees from a Tornado in June of 2011. About a five mile stretch of devastation. Total miles about 130. Uneventful, I said that. Got the same site we had two years ago. Checked out several for 'levelness' so we wouldn't have to un-hook. Finally found one. Same one we had two years ago. But i said that. Small camp… 18 spaces, pretty full. My 'least favorite' of the camps on the Trace. However, there is a fine overlook up from the campground. Little Mountain, at 603 feet, is one of Mississippi's highest points on the parkway. No fire. Chilly evening. Rain started in the night. Left at 8:30 am... first ones out.
