Left camp at 7 am and drove out to US 1 Homestead and turned right. 27 miles later, you are ON Key Largo! It's kinda like entering the 'Caribbean' in general. Stopped for a Starbucks coffee and were lucky to be just in front of a tour bus that stopped! Headed southwest and hoped the islands, stopping at a few beaches for short walks. Ate at a seafood joint in a bay on Marathon (?). Fun. Made it down to No-name Key and saw a couple of the Key Deer. Decided we didn't need to get to Key West. Headed back. Bahia Honda looked nice. Crossed the bridge to the mainland as the sun set. Nice day. 240 miles total, 12 hours.
