Drove off the peninsula the way we came… down SR 30 onto US 98, back through Apalachicola, Eastpoint, Carabelle, (along the coast), then north on SR 316 to Ochlockonee River St. Pk. Old Buddy Jim followed us later in the day and got a spot 'a couple doors down'. Took an evening walk along the river and saw the rare Red-cockaded Woodpecker! Lifer! First I've seen in 3 visits here! Also, the white squirrels were back out in force Then we saw a Raccoon nestled in the knot hole of a tree. Camp was nice except for a lone guy apparently addicted to rock & roll radio and a couple next door who felt a need to play Christmas songs so loud in their motorhome, it was booming out and could be heard inside our trailer until after 10 pm! Gads! What are people thinking!!!? Great shower here!!… and a good cell/internet signal What more can a guy ask for?
