Drove straight up US-27 a total of 65 miles. Lake Louisa State Park is located 7 miles south of Clermont and the junction of SR-50. We wanted to stop here to visit my old friend Ken & Maureen from 40 years ago! I expected the park to be noisy, since it is located right on US-27, but luckily, the campground was a 3 mile drive back in! It was nice and quiet and clean... 4500 acres, 6 small lakes, 23 miles of trails, good showers We didn't really get to see much of the park, as we were really just here to visit friends. Sat around camp a bit and saw tons of Yellow-rumped Warblers and Osprey... plus Blue Jays and Cardinals. Had a good time visiting, getting caught up and having dinner. State Parks are sure expensive. We're trying to avoid them and stay under a $20-a-night average camping cost. So far we are way under
