Maiden Voyage

I got the silver-streamer ready enough to go on its maiden voyage of the July 4th weekend. It was rather uneventful, and the new layout worked awesome! I installed maple laminate floors in the front along with an oak dinette that converts to a King size bed! New custom cushion foam, and upholstery. I learned how to sew and made the covers myself! I also sewed new curtains for the front and rear. I scored big on ebay and got 20 yards of premium upholstery fabric for $40! I also removed the wardrobe and build a small bed for our little one. I utilized on old crib gate to ensure she is secure. She is 8 months. This worked out great and eliminated theneed for a pack and play!
The only issue we had was a leaky supply line on the toilet, and a leaky pipe on the bathroom sink. I think wome water was left in the p-trap over the winter and it froze and split. Other than that.....it went great! I still have to re-seal the windows, and some vulkem work on the main door. The shower area is also non-functioning at the moment.
Other items since last post include, all new plumbing supply lines (PEX), new switches on cieling fixtures, lcd tv, new stero and speakers, new blinds, new power distribution, painted rear storage area, painted rock guard, removed awning, new curtains, new stabilizer jacks, rebuilt waste valves, and the list goes on.
I was laid off back in march (mechanical engineer in Detroit, anyone hiring???) and have spent most of my new free time working on the trailer. I figure I have at least 450-500 hours into it! Well worth it! Although I have a 33 year old trailer (as old as I am!!) I know exactly what it is. I know every crevice, wire, pipe, rivet, etc. My estimate is about 1600 newly popped rivets.....by hand!!! I hope to publish more details now that it is winding down.
