Interior removal process! LEAKS ABOUND!

Well it has been a while but the weather has been nice enough to get some work done. I have finished gutting all of the furniture and have removed all lower interior panels so I can begin on floor replacement. Many leaks have been found along the way! It appears all of the vista views are leaking through the glass. The Front and Rear windows both are leaking from the installation seams (I think). The awning mount has a leak, and the fridge vent has a leak. There also appears to be many leaks along the wide belt line trim. Unfortunately it is too cold and wet to seal with vulkem and parbond, so we will have to deal with it until warmer, dryer weather comes.
I have removed the Univolt and the 120 distribution, along with all of the plumbing. I think I am going to upgrade to the Intelli-Power 12 volt system. I will probably post Ol' Green on ebay for a few bucks.
I have been looking for parts and ideas until my tax return comes to start spending! It will be nice when I am finally at the point of putting it back together. When you have a blank slate like this, the ideas really start flowing! I am thinking of going with a Large Front "U" dinette that converts to a Queen or King sized bed. Then I will take the couch and possible put it over the wheel well across from the center bath. The rear twins will stay the same with the addition of a bunkn across the back abover the rear window.
More progress to come!

Hey---I forgot--whilst doing research on exterior leaks, I came across a thread in which aluminum pigmented gutterseal was being used to seal the exterior seams using a syringe and a shortened 18 gauge needle. The thread was posted on 10-15-2005. I think jcferguson was one that contributed to the article. I, myself, am trying to locate this material...Please keep me updated on what you find...Posted 02-17-2009 at 12:46 AM by imeynstein

I am having to replace my front window (used the old one to fix my 69 airstream) I have the frame, but was told that they do not make a seal/gasket and would have to order the whole thing at about $435.00. Also, having to replace all the Vista View (these are on the top) what type of seals/gaskets did you use or did you replace the complete unit? I am working on a 71.
