Rude things people said about my Overlander

As I traveled across the south hauling my 48 year old Airstream home to Natchez, People said some rude things........Let me share!
"You'd better set off some bug bombs in there"
"You can park in the back or in the lot next door"
"Well!...... THAT'S seen better days"
"You drove all the way from South Carolina on THOSE tires"
"They actually let YOU... park THAT... in the campground"
"Damned thats a really OLD camper!"
I decided they were just jealous !

Here in the Midwest our 1971 Airstream Safari gets a lot of compliments and attention wherever we go. Must have more Airstream luv'rs! Of course, ours is polished to a mirror shine and well kept. It's also for sale - check around. Pics for those interested.Posted 08-22-2008 at 11:24 AM by PenTom

There will always be some who just don't get it
. And that's OK. For most, moving into the world of Airstreaming is a learning, a growth experience
. And, for every negative comment I hear of, there are always 10 times as many folks commenting on how cool Airstreams are - new and vintage
. I choose who I pay attention to anyway
.
You've made a great choice, the right choice and one you won't come to regret.
Congratulations!!

I stopped to look 4 a sec. looks real straight! 1960 should be a clad coach ( no clear cote ) drop by auto zone 4 a giggle and pick up a can of polish, green can, not wax- rub a litle on a spot behind the lp tnks, you'll be amazed at how quickly she shines. i just did the same with my 48 wee wind and was amazed at the result.i gotcarried away and did most of the upper pass side. she shined right up. my body is off the frame so I amforced to stop for now but i'm excited!!Posted 08-28-2008 at 12:37 AM by crestonrv
