So We Bought It!

Ok, here goes, we bought the first Airstream we looked at, and the ONLY one we could find anywhere near us. I know, I can see you all cringing. But we didn't pay a lot, and figure if we have to spend that much again to make 'er perfect, we'll still have a good deal. And, to be honest, ok ~ I fell in love. It's not the first time I went nuts over love! Last time was 14 years ago and I haven't regretted a second of marrying Ray...well, except for the time he....nevermind.
This Excella Girl is going to be sooooooo pretty when we get through.
I'm a little worried about the rust - she seems to have a lot, but the last owner was an outdoorsman, always fishing, hunting, boondocking. Hunting and fishing!!! Harumph! That's enough of that!
Last owner even had a platform welded to the tail frame for his generator. He keeps three AS trailers, the salesman said. This may have been his oldest - and besides, rust had it by the tail, I'm afraid. Oh, well. But, I suspect he knows a lot about them and hope I get to talk to him. It seems most of the important things are ok, like new AC, nice appliances, even good awnings, etc.
Today is Saturday, and I stayed up until 2 a.m. this morning reading in this site. Somehow I have to wait until Tuesday to go get our Excella. And there is no level place on our property to put it, so we will have to put her across town at my mom's where there's lots of (level) room. I may not come home much. This may be worse than my shopping, reading, writing, scrapbooking, and other addictions!
Can't wait to start running into other Airstreamers on the road and here and learn more.
