I would like to start by saying that I plan to retire next July. So I wanted to start to look at some Airstreams and get an idea on what is out there. I was watching E Bay and read an artical that you can get into trouble if you don't know what you are lokking at. After a couple of months looking here and there, went to a couple of dealers and had a little idea.
There is a 1991 34foot airstream for sale for 23,500. We went to see this home. It has new axles(3 of them) new ref. new water pump not one scratch dent anywere. All he got 6 new tires. There was so much more I was about to cry when my wife sayed NO we better wait until next year.
So be nice and tell me that I will find another one next year.

keep looking
We purchased one off of Craigs list 1995 34 ft classic for 17,500 and had the headliner replaced for 2500.00, just had everything checked out, new tries etc for another 2400.00 so we have a tip top 95 for about what that one was. Our's still had all the stickers and plastic on the showers etc. You have to watch the headliners and tires on these. PPL in HOuston told us we got a deal so keep looking. They are out there.Posted 08-24-2008 at 02:28 PM by starfire104 -
