Picked up the AS from the dealer last week and first thing I noticed a little moisture in the rear compartment. It was definitely less than before so I dried it out (again!) and started checking all the other jooints in the area. I noticed the right tailight had some missing caulk on the side which is very close to where the leak is. I repaired the tailight caulk and we had two days of continuous rain and all is dry. I'm not ready to say it is fixed just yet, but so far so good.
My unit has the analog TV so I put in a digital converter but wanted to add some additional wiring to allow us to throw a switch to change between antenna and campground cable. This one hour project took three hours but it is completed.
I removed some rust on the A frame and the battery box and applied some rust inhibitor. I have the matching dark gray spray paint but need to wait for warmer weather before touching up.
I want to put another coact of 303 protectant on the gaskets, clean and wax the shower stall and wash and wax the exterior before we head out April 29 for Virginia.
We've been concerned about all the tornadoes so we have adjusted our planned more direct route for one that heads to southern New Mexico before turning south along I10 to the Florida panhandle and then north. More miles, more warmth, safer route.
