It's been how long?

I posted some pictures last week of our Airstream on the first day we got it home, and was reminded of how much work I've done to the thing. The trailer was totally intact, down to the original draperies, but a leaking skylight had rotted out the floor. The project became replacing the whole floor, except under the bathroom. Thinking back, I must've been out of my mind, buying the trailer on a whim, falling in love with the Globetrotter. I had no clue what was involved with replacing the floor, that it continued under the walls and was integral to the structure. The pictures reminded me of lying in wet slimy leaves next to the back fence, under the trailer, drilling out belly pan rivets. The wheels were undersized, and the trailer was too close to the ground for me to get under easily. Dirt and god knows what fell into my eyes and parts disappeared into the leaves and dirt, and are still there to this day. It was fun, flying over in my former bosses small plane, to see the little trailer in my back yard, from 5000 feet up.
The floor replacement didn't actually take that long, but fixing the leaking seams and window frames, finding rubber seals for doors, two skylight replacements did. After three years, I hooked the Globie to the back of our old Ranger and dragged it out of our backyard, and off to Barstad and Donick in San Leandro, for new wheels, brakes and electrical work.
