I'm looking at doing this same ting in my 68 tradewind, I'm certain I'll be needing to remove one of the wall panels, I think the one in the bathroom will be easiest. I'm planning on replacing it with one of those accordian folding doors. I supppose I could cut the door down lenght wise with a sazall inorder to get the part of the door out that's still behind the wall. I would still have to remove the wall panel if I was going to replace it with a new pocket door but fortunately I'm not.

our doors are metal with imbedded mirrorsfull length... i foud the way to remove after pulling the sprin loaded pins that holdem in place ad centering the door take needlenose pliers and pull away the plastic tabs that are in top of the metal swivel holders on top of door than have someone hold the pin that goes up to the track in one place while you tap the door to right or left depending on where the opening is lift the door up and slide the pin out of the hole its gonna take some jostling but it works!
