Today we are looking at replacing the old carpet with vinyl flooring. My wife found some high quality Armstrong floating vinyl flooring on clearance at Lowes.
We placed it next to the interior to see how the color blended and we were both happy with the flooring and seemed to match up just fine.
The flooring floats but the best part of it is there is a backing on each piece so no underlay is needed on the floor just apply it to the bare plywood.
So now to start removing the old carpet and hope we don't have to replace a lot of plywood.
We found some staining but so far all the plywood is good no soft spots. We got all the carpet out of the main living room and called it quits for the day.
