Left camp about 10:00 and drove southwest on SR 445 to SR 19 then north to SR 40 and west to campground… 18 miles Elaine came to visit us on the 19th… had a nice little birthday party for her. First day of her retirement! Walked around the springs and over to Fern Hammock Spring. This is my favorite spring for photographing. While we were there, an Otter swam several times around the pool, chasing schools or fish. How great to see! Next day we canoed up the Silver River… all four of us in our canoe. Saw the monkeys! This is Donna's favorite paddle thus far. We have done it 3 times now. Lots of birds, turtles and gators
