Fixed the Blue LED issue

We recently took delivery of a 2012 Flying Cloud - which we LOVE. The one thing we didn't love was the blue color temperature of the LEDs. With some trial and error we solved it: https://www.aluminarium.com/airstream/airstream-led-color

The issue of 'harsh' LED lighting in the newer models has come up a fair bit on the forum recently and is obviously something that is concerning people. I thought your solution was quite ingenious!
In our International Serenity I quite like the harshness of the light, given that most of the surfaces, including the inside walls, are shiny. I find that the LEDs add a kind of brilliance that I'm more than happy with. It is, though, all down to personal choice and I'm surprised that Airstream doesn't have an option for softer LEDs.
Still, Mrs Toad and I always seem to be slightly out of step with the rest of the Airstream world so it's good to remain in that eccentric minority :~)Posted 10-10-2011 at 10:22 PM by MrUKToad
