Second Camping Season

Since our Airstream was a ways from home over the winter season, we didn't get to see how it was until this month (Aug 10-Apr 11). I was worried about posible leaks over the winter.

Everything was in excellent condition and even smelled good inside even though it had been closed up for that long.

We had only one small leak in the front window which was probably from the old seal there. They need to be replaced. It was a minimal leak and just wetted the edge of the cabinet. No leaks anywhere else.

We replaced the pilot light on the HW heater and that solved our mistery of the pilot light going out after each tank heating.

We had issues with the cheap Aqua IV toilet sprayer. The nozzle cracked right where the threads are. We did drain the water from the hose by opening the nozzle before winter so I don't think water caused it. Maybe the pressure when we turned the water back on this season? Anyway, a trip to the Hardware Store and all new. FYI - Any household sink sprayer end will fit.

During the first week back camping, it was on the chilly side so we got to light the heater up for the first time. Even after 30 years, it lit right up and was blowing hot air within minutes. It kept us warm the first couple of cold nights before it warmed up outside.

It was a great first week back in the camper!
