1950 Liner "Weeble" - Endcap polished, other small items

We haven't been working on the Liner much this summer, too busy camping . We did have a mild temperature weekend here so we made some progress on polishing. The front endcap has now been compound polished.
The other 2 overhead bins have been stripped of paint and are ready for polishing. I removed all of the rusted screws from the outside skins to try and stop the rust stains. I freed up the lower skins in the front and back from the bellypan and floor since the exterior dents were caused by the shell dropping due to rotting floor. This will help keep this from getting worse.
I collected the best samples I have of all of the old rubber seals and measured what I will need. Will make a trip to some local camper stores to find replacements.
I put a couple of samples of all of the screws that will be needed for the exterior to take to fastenall and get some SS replacements.
I pulled out the front plexi window out to get a profile of the seal and see what thickness the plexi was so I could price Lexan replacement. It fell apart into a few pieces as it came out.
I also took the pretzel-like aluminum frame for one of the glass windows and cut a profile from that. It is going to be a challenge to find that U channel. I've been to the vintage sites and no replacements. I then checked out aluminum sites on the web and none seem to have that profile so may need to have some custom made. Hoping I can find at a local shop here.
Was a good weekend. Making steps to seal up the shell before next spring when we make the new frame and floor to move it to.
