Wheel Corrosion
Posted 10-07-2009 at 05:47 AM by Beauchesne
We just purchased a new 08 30FBk , we loved the layout however the wheels needed to be replaced due to a signifficant amount of corosion, so Airstream sent new replacement wheels under warrantee. The wheels came in boxes labeled "made in China".
Does anyone know how to prevent this corrosion and pitting to occur, has Airstream changed their process to prevent this?
Can I expect these new wheels to look like the replacement ones in a year or two?

And these were aluminum wheels? Sure makes one wonder about quality control...glad to hear they replaced them for you. Hope the new ones last.
