OK, now that we have finally had some dry weather to work on the "can of worms", we have discovered LOTS of problems and my husband is NOT a handy man. I can look at a diagram and figure out most things. Can design and rebuild but have been boggled by the term BELLY PAN? What is it? From my guess, it's the underside holding tanks? We have what looks like a poor patch in the aluminium and when we try to hook up city water it just pours from this "belly pan"? My husband is ready...

Greetings from NW Ohio.
My husband and I just bought our first Airstream, 1976 31' Sovereign We are silly with excitement, yet a bit nervous about restoration. We bought it at auction "as is", but have been told that it is in good condition, and looks to be so. We will try to keep the intregrity of the Airstream while adding our own personal touches to better meet our needs. It has a center bath, twin rear beds and single sleeper in front. We hope to take our grandkids on some trips...
