The Car and The Trailer

So, here is the setup:

In front, one 2011 V6 3.5 litre, six speed auto, Toyota Sienna, no towing package, 266 hp and 245 lb/ft torque.

In the rear, a 28' Airstream International Serenity, max weight 7,300lbs.

In between, a CanAm RV Special:

The Towing

Given my inexperience with towing, I'm not sure how scientific my observations will be, They will, however, be honest.

The First Tow:

Down to the Ford Plant in St Thomas with Ray, our handover guy. He drove it there, I drove it back. All systems were fine and I was very comforted to feel the Sienna pull away comfortably and (more importantly) stop with ease. New to Canada (from the UK) and new to towing anything, Mrs Toad and I decided we'd like to buy a 28' International Serenity Airstream trailer. We are extremely fortunate to live within and hour of CanAm RV in London (Ontario) and it was there that we gained our first ideas about how we would tow this lovely aluminum palace.
