The Center of The World (?)

Well, got away from home at noon. Stopped in Felicity, CA, population 12. But it's also the Official Center of The World according to the local proprietor/museum/restaurant owner. He's also the proud owner of a segment of staircase from the Eiffel Tower.
Then, left Felicity and made it as far as Yuma where we decided it was time for a campers' lunch. So stopped at In 'n Out. Then pressed on along US 8 to the appropriately named berg of Dateland, AZ. Many date palms and lots of land. Found...

Thud and Blunder. (Or, Two AS Neophytes Explore the Southwest.)

After three years of prepping and planning and fretting we are finally on the road with our new 23FB Flying Cloud. Our goal is to take the month of March to see firsthand some of what we've read in the great book "Blood and Thunder" about the American Southwest's long and violent history.

We'll mainly aim for small towns and cool spots, though we'll be flexible and adapt as we go.
