After mounting I noticed that there is only 1" clearance of the front tire from the front wheel well. Is this OK? Will the tire hit the wheel well during travel when the trailer hits a bump, hole, etc.

During installation I felt that it was best to remove a small portion of the wheel well decorative moulding

A beat up subject, but....

You have asked the question that is the basis for all of the confusion. You are not alone. If we could depend on the tire to wear normally, we would probably not have to depate the beat up topic. My experience with my last 5 GYM 10 ply 15" is that I got a range of 300 to 1400 miles before blowout. inflation carefully and often checked. I upgraded to the Mich. and upgraded my axles. No problem for first 3400 miles. Good luck

By the way, although limited experience, I have had no issues with the LT's.
I had the same thought. I concluded, rightly or wrongly, that it would work to the point you claim. That is, getting off the highway and...
