DAY 107 - Fri May 8
Still very muggy, with tornado watches again today -- mid 80's.
On our way to the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in Jackson TN this morning. It is housed in an old downtown building, and is chock full of the history of Rockabilly music. After we rang the doorbell a very nice lady came and let us in. She explained that it was $5/each for the tour, and that she shows three dvd's, and then you are free to roam the museum. DAY 104 - Tue May 5
Warm and very muggy....
Rolling by 9:30AM, saying goodbye to The Big Easy -- heading US11N to I-59N to Hattiesburg Mississippi. We passed a yard full of what looked like FEMA trailers just outside Purvis. There had to be hundreds, if not thousands of trailers there. We wondered what they'll do with all those trailers!!! We made a left at US98 towards Natchez to start the Natchez Trace, but the weather changed our minds, and we decided to catch it at Jackson instead....

DAY 99 - Thu Apr 30
Warm & muggy again. We took a short drive around Slidell to pick up supplies and get the truck washed. Back at the park, I met a lady in the laundry whose husband washes RV's on site. Told hubby about him, negotiated a very fair and reasonable price, and set it up for tomorrow. Baby's gettin' a bath!
DAY 100 - Fri May 1
I am COVERED in bites!!!! Not sure exactly what they're from, but everybody say they're "no-see-ums". No kidding, but they should...

DAY 94 - Sat Apr 25
Another warm, muggy night, followed by the same kind of morning. We went out to do laundry, and found a great laundromat on Manchaca Blvd S. We stopped for lunch on South 1st St at the "Trailer Park and Eatery" -- not really a trailer park, but there are two vintage trailers, one an Airstream and one a 1959 Shasta being used as food vendors. Very cool. Austin TX is very into using vintage Airstreams as offices, vendors, etc. Besides the ones shown here, there...

DAY 92 - Thu Apr 23
It was a warm night, followed by a warm morning, with hi's in the 80's and possibly 90's today. Rolling out of Tucumcari's Cactus RV Park by 9:30AM, heading I-40 east towards Amarillo TX. We got off I-40 at Vega TX for a bite to eat, then followed TX385 south towards Lubbock TX. Nice drive through the country. We followed US84 east towards I-20. We hit a HUGE storm at Justiceville TX with major crosswinds, lightening, then huge blowing rain and dust!! We had to slow down...

DAY 86 - Fri Apr 17
We awoke to another beautiful, sunny, windy day. We grabbed our coffees, and headed over to our Aunt's house in our pj's -- she was definitely surprised ! We told her we were staying at Moon River RV until Monday.
DAY 89 - Mon Apr 20
Packed and rolling by 9AM, heading North on AZ95 to Kingman, then I-40 East to Seligman. We stopped at Delgadillo's Snow Cap Drive-In for a bite, and were sad to learn that Mr. Delgadillo had passed away a few years ago. We met...

DAY 66 - Sat Mar 28
Slow moving morning, way too many 'free drinks' last night in the casinos.
We picked our niece up, who lives in Vegas, and took her on a tour of the town. We had a great day with her, complete with lunch on the rooftop tiki bar at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. We did Fremont St and were glad to see the old Vegas neon signs displayed there. We saw the water show at the Bellaggio, and it was wonderful. The show was accompanied by the song "All That Jazz"...

DAY 55 - Tue Mar 17
Happy St. Patrick's Day! !
Cool, sunny morning, hi's in the 70's today. Up and rolling by 10AM, heading to Safford AZ. We had an uneventful trip across I-10, then north on US 191 to Roper State Park, just outside Safford. We were told when we got there that they were full, so we decided to pay for a day pass, and at least enjoy the natural hot spring tub there. DAY 52 - Sat Mar 14
Still cold and overcast - hi's in the 50's.
Rolling by 10AM, heading for New Mexico!! We stopped for lunch in Stonewall TX at Lindig's Cafe (good food). The place was packed with bicyclists from all over the US, on a week-long "Hell Week" bike endurance run. We couldn't believe how many!!
We saw many dead deer on the side of US290 on our way to the I-10.

We also saw 4 Airstreams, and 1 Avion once we got on the I-10, but only 1 out of the 5...

GOOD NEWS! ! All is good with the trailer. Hubby fixed EVERYTHING ! ! I am SO PROUD OF HIM! ! He fixed the peeeled banana peel, and the propane hookup...All is good and we even have hot water ! !
DAY 44 = Through our travels, we took a little detour to Wellborn TX to the ONLY NY DINER in Texas. This 1940's era diner was saved from demolition through an ebay purchase and was moved from NY to TX, at a cost of 5 times the purchase price of the diner. What a treasure to save.

Yesterday, we attended the Cortez Village Fish Festival along the Gulf, just outside Bradenton. There was a Pirate Ship, complete with strolling pirates, begging for your drink or food. We are now at Winter Quarters Manatee Encore Park in Bradenton Florida. Very nice, large park with lake. When we left Zephyrhills, we stopped by Bates RV on I-4, North America's largest Airstream dealer, and also home to the "Airstream Ranch". There is also a small "Vintage Trailer Park" on display -- they all look pretty good from the outside, however the insides are another story.

Here's the picture of the Denny's Diner we ate at in Wildwood FL... sorry no pics of the inside, but very cool place.

Our 'baby' got new wheels and tires yesterday. After many difficulties trying to use a borrowed floor jack on the ground, we tore down the trailer and towed her to the tire guy who put them on for us. They look fabulous ! ! While we had her rolling, we took her for a nice bath, and dump at a neighbourhood RV park.

We've just been hanging out (and shopping)...

We've moved from Foley AL to Zephyrhills FL since the last posting. I'll try to get caught up now.
While we were still in Foley AL,we awoke to another beautiful sunny day after a chilly night. We thought we had run out of propane, but the fridge wouldn't stay lit again. After several attempts, hubby got it going and all is well.
