Marty’s 2019 23FB Lift

Here’s a post on the custom 3” lift I helped Marty do on his 2019 Flying Cloud 23FB. Marty contacted me on the forum and informed me he lives less than 30 minutes away from me and asked would I be willing to help him with his lift project. I told him I would be more than glad to help.
His 23FB came equipped with Dexter #11 axles and required 11” long lift blocks vs my 2014 23D trailer which is equipped with #10 axles and required 10” blocks.
The lift kit was fabricated from 3”x 3”...

Twin 6 Volt battery install & charger/converter upgrade

Upgraded my batteries from (2) Group 27 12 volts to 2 Trojan T105 6 volts. This swap was mandated by waking up one morning at Stone Mtn GA campground to the smell of sulfur/rotten eggs, yep I officially cooked on of my factory interstate batteries. The water level was check religiously so I am going to blame the factory single stage charger. Before I installed the new Trojans I installed a new Progressive Dynamic 4655v charger converter. I posted this in a thread earlier, but thought it would be good to add as a Blog post.
Getting service work done on your Airstream if you are either (A) not able to do the work, (B) don’t have the time to do the work, or (C) don’t need to personally do the work because it’s a warranty issue can be very challenging.
Returning back to the factory (The Pilgrimage to the Mothership) is often been stated to be the best place to take your Airstream trailer...

We are currently in Gatlinburg TN spending some time on the Redneck Riviera. While making the 6 hour drive up our panty door decide it wanted to remove itself from the cabinet. Well almost anyway. The 2 screws holding the bottom hinge base plate ripped out of the cabinet wall and 1 of the screws from the upper plate also was stripped. Marker/Clearance light Replacement

I’ve got a couple of Clearance lights that are on the fritz, one is out and the other is intermittent. So in Grand “Dept of OverKill” style I’m going to replace them all with a few upgrades along the way. I’ve ordered the Replacements (7 Red and 4 Amber) from “The Trailer Shop” an eBay store for $165.15. Amazon also had them but they were $208.12 there. The old lights where starting to get cloudy anyway. See pics...
