15K AC upgrade and proper AC drip cup install done

The drip tube does enter through the gasket. One tube off each cup then connect to a tee fitting and drain out the main drain tube inside the trailer wall.

OK, I am finally beginning to understand what the cups are for....but I have to ask, does the drip tube have to go thru the gasket to get inside the rv to then connect to the main down the wall drip tube ? Originally I thought the cups were on the interior part of the ac. On the old system wasn't there a drip pan inside accessible from the interior ?

2014 23D International Fresh Water Tank Replacement

    GMFL,

I cannot thank you enough for documenting and posting your photos and process for this project here and at your other post regarding this project. What is going on behind the tank pans has been a relative mystery to me, and you have shed so much light on it. Thank you!

I really want to ditch my plastic drain valve (I have to us a lever to get it to open and it feels like the handle could snap at any time) You've helped me understand what this would entail. Again, Thank you!

Also, the quick connect for the line drain is a great idea. If I ever get into this project, I'd like to do the same thing.

    Hitch Holder

Yes. It locks in place with the same pin used in the truck. In other words there is a pin hole through the receiver/holder.

Very nice. Curious, what tool did you use to expand the opening?

    Maxim Skylight

Mine original one was stuck on with double sided tape and was in ok shape. I replaced it to head off any problems. The Maxim skylights are AWESOME! 3 lenses tinted to your preference increase the insulation rating of the skylight.

Thanks for the link. I was thinking of adding an outlet - this box will work great.

Looks good. Rivets to hold the box in place. Great idea - low profile so minimal interference with the cover plate.

Are the blue outlet boxes standard residential size?

    Keep up the good work!

    Airstream Pole Barn #2

It’s nice to be able to wash it under the cover. Also post spacing allows for all the awnings to be opened to dry. I could enclose it but I think it would be pretty confined in there if I did.

That's pretty slick, but why not enclose it?

More photos of my 6 volt Trojan T105 battery install

sweet... I just got my trojans last week and am looking forward to put'n them in the new battery box retrofit... should make dry camping much more fun and less worrysome.

why airstream didn't go to these years ago is still a question unanswered... when ask at a meeting.. they did the shuffle off stage left...

Some came up with pretty lame excuses as to why but the oldies said that when the gp 24s were around they were about 25 bux each... cheep... and so who cared if they only lasted a year... you put new ones in seasonally... accroding to them.. but now that they are approching 100 bux each... makes a big difference in yearly cost...
So most ventured off into better battery that required a better location.

While mounting them on the A frame is not the best spot.. it was simple and effective to do the job according to the oldies again...

Strange that A/S fought it for a while and then started making the tool box into a battery box... interesting...
