Please someone correct me here if I misspeak -
I believe that the problem with painting plastic is getting the paint to adhear. If I was going to paint my cabinets (and will, more than likely at some point) I would paint first with Krylon Fusion, and then paint over that with my choice of colors - including faux finishes. Possibly sanding the Krylon lightly first .
